I watched the film ‘Titanic’ last night for the first time in years. I’d forgotten how much of a powerful movie that is. I think those kind of films bring home the fragility and uncertainty of this physical realm, and can force us to rethink our values. The falling bodies toward the end reminded me of September 11th. ‘Alive’ is another such movie – the one about the Uruguayan rugby team whose plane crashes in the middle of the Andes. I’d recommend Alive to anyone who hasn’t yet seen it. Th...

We are now entering the Aquarian Age, the sign of which is a man walking across the Heavens pouring something from a pitcher down upon the earth. I believe that what is being poured is the new and higher life force, quickening humanity's growth and compelling the spiritually minded to a more intense seeking for Light and Truth. Our global consciousness is surely maturing, and although not yet quite blossomed, growth from now on will be exponential. We're living in exciting times, presently on ...

There was once an old man who had lived a full, but troubled life. He was lying on his death bed with moments to live. As he died, he found himself face to face with Christ. Before embarking on his new life in Heaven, Jesus gave the man the opportunity to review his life on earth. The man saw his life symbolised as footsteps walking along a beach. All throughout his life he could see two pairs of footsteps - his and the Lord’s. But then he noticed that many times along the path of his life...

A bit of wisdom I keep coming back to is “trust what lies beneath”. Whatever we do, regardless of the outcome of our decisions or behaviour, as long as our intention is good, or at least neutral, then we can afford to keep our peace of mind. Sometimes we do things that cause grief. Sometimes we hurt others. Sometimes we make a complete dick of ourself. But as long our intentions or motives are not malicious or grim, then we can afford to be at peace with ourself - regardless of other people’...

I saw Groundhog Day the other night, and thought it was great. I've seen it a few times before and had previously found it quite irritating. But this time round the movie's deeper connotations became more apparent to me. Its theme can be interpreted in many ways, but to me, it shows the learning curve of the soul. Every lifetime that we have on earth can be analogised in one of Phil's 'groundhog days'. At first, when Phil learns about his immortality, he chooses to satisfy his ego - pu...

Okay, I wrote this stuff some time ago but didn’t post it cuz I can be misinterpreted as an oaf. But I’m drunk now. So I don't mind. Here it is cut and paste. People can make their own minds up. The Cosmic Story Part II We’ve all asked the questions, "Why are we here? Is there any purpose to life? Is there life beyond the veil of death"? Well I possess answers to these questions via a quick-route method without necessarily having 'grown' into them. I’m psychic, you see, so I’m cheati...

Once upon a time, between 500 and 1000 years ago, Buddhism was a twinkle in the Western-mind’s eye. Christianity had a firm hold on the West, and the Church was using fear tactics to capture the hearts and minds of the masses. Religious leaders proclaimed that their all-powerful God would punish non-believers in hellfire forever unless they believed their doctrine. At this time, Christianity was elitist, and held a monopoly on so-called Truth. As humanity grew up, the old skool interpretati...

Because of the enormity of suffering in nature, it seems that our efforts to confront the challenge of evolution simply by restating or revising arguments for “intelligent design” are both ineffective and inconsequential. Advocates of intelligent design typically ignore the randomness, pain and struggle of the life-story. Now take a look at what follows. It’s great, in my opinion. It’s taken from a book I’ve just been reading. (Try and excuse the difficult vocabulary. The underlying message...

AIDS comes as a stern teacher. It rather walks around the classroom as an old schoolmaster might, and raps you smartly on the knuckles saying, "Wake up!" Suffering serves a noble purpose.
